A teenager is dead and another is injured after being shot while trying to rob a man in north Harris County Sunday, Harris County sheriff’s deputies. HCSO kprc2 click2houston htx hounews
According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman, the shooting took place in the 19800 block of Kenswick Drive around 5 p.m.According to Precinct 4, both teens were transported to an area hospital where one of the teens was pronounced dead. The other teen was listed as critical and underwent surgery, investigators said.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide investigators who also responded to the scene said that it was determined both teens were attempting to rob a man who was exiting the convenience store at the location. Deputies said the man’s friend saw what was happening and came to his assistance, shooting both suspects.
Deputies said the man that was being robbed and his friend that helped him cooperated with investigators. No charges are being filed at this time and the case will be referred over to a grand jury upon its conclusion, HCSO said. Pct 4 Constables are on a shooting scene at Kenswick Dr and Huntermoor Cir. Where 2 teens have been shot. Both we transported to a hospital in critical condition. Constable Deputies do have 2 suspects detained and have recovered a weapon. Avoid the area.
