A firefighter and two other people were rushed to the hospital after a fire broke out Tuesday morning at a North Austin group home and left six people displaced.
The Austin Fire Department said the call came in at 10 a.m. reporting a fire at a house used as a group home located at 11219 Blossom Bell Drive. Austin-Travis County EMS also responded to the scene.
When first responders arrived, EMS transported one person to St. David's North for smoke inhalation while another person was transported to Seton Northwest for heat-related illness.are being assisted by the Central Texas Red Cross.
