Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a 911 call about 5 p.m. for a welfare check in the 25500 block of White Oak Lane, where they found a woman dead in a home’s garage, Lt. Spencer of the sheriff’s office told the Montgomery County Police Reporter in a briefing. Deputies learned during interviews that the woman’s ex-husband arrived there to drop off their two children — a 12-year-old and an 8-year-old — and the children found their mother dead, according to Spencer. The ex-husband then called 911, Spencer said.
Authorities are talking to neighbors and witnesses, Spencer said. The district attorney’s office also responded to the scene.
