Andrew Sturby’s update after Below Deck season 2.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT After finishing his Below Deck season 2 run earlier than expected, there's curiosity about what deckhand Andrew Sturby has been up to since his time on the show. As one of the best reality TV shows, there's always new drama and relationships afoot in Below Deck. Andrew always had a bit of a frustrating presence on the yacht. He often seemed to care more about mingling with the guests than performing his duties.
When Andrew’s performance was called into question, the deckhand revealed to Below Deck's Captain Lee Rosbach that he may have embellished his resume. Andrew was tantalized by the promise of adventure and fame. Captain Lee was extremely generous toward the crew member, giving him another shot after coming clean. Unfortunately, he couldn’t live up to his responsibilities on board, and was given a plane ticket home shortly thereafter.
What We Know About Andrew Sturby After Below Deck Interestingly, the former Bravo star has stayed off the grid since his time on Below Deck. Andrew's Instagram has no posts. The last update BravoTV gave of the star was back in 2014. In an interview, Andrew explained his disappointment with being fired, and how he wanted to prove himself.
Where In The World Is Below Deck Alum Andrew Sturby? Andrew often draws comparisons to people like Chandler Brooks from Below Deck season 6, as someone who deserved to be fired. His inexperience and dishonesty probably did warrant his departure. But one has to wonder if the discourse surrounding Andrew's firing is what ultimately drove him away from a more public life. Andrew may have gotten too many negative messages from viewers, and stayed off the internet.
There is no other evidence of a recent update on Andrew past his 2014 interview with Bravo. Although Andrew probably is among those who deserved to be fired from Below Deck, that is part of the appeal of the show. It’s refreshing to see a show where skill and work ethic are valued over good looks. In the end, Andrew did the show a favor, making Bravo’s vetting process more thorough. Perhaps an even worse kind of a person would’ve stumbled onto the show if not for Andrew.
