But by 2017 and 2019, when Ramaswamy was cutting deals there, the tide had already turned. Most Republicans were arguing for getting tough with China over its aggression, repression, espionage and theft of U.S. intellectual property. His most recent deal with CITIC PE was just over four years ago.
That is especially true because he is the only candidate who has proposed allowing China to achieve it’s greatest foreign policy goal — by giving Beijing a green light to attack Taiwan.
