UAW President Shawn Fain said a “select few” facilities and factories would be targeted first, and that all other facilities at the companies — Ford, General Motors and Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep and Chrysler — should be ready to strike at a moment’s notice if called upon.
Tuesday night, Ford Chief Executive Jim Farley called the company’s latest proposal “our most generous offer in 80 years,” including pay increases, some protection against inflation, five weeks of vacation, 17 paid holidays and bigger contributions for retirement.Share
