Two homicides were reported within days in the parking lot of a 24 Hour Fitness at Bayfair Center in San Leandro, police said.police are investigating two homicides that occurred within 10 days of each other in the parking lot of a 24 Hour Fitness at Bayfair Center.
Officers initially responded to reports of an unconscious man inside a car in the parking lot on Sept. 14 at around 11:50 a.m. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the man was dead from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound, police said in a More than a week later, on Sept. 24 at approximately 10:40 a.m., police received reports of a deceased man inside of a car in the same 24 Hour Fitness parking lot. This time, they confirmed he died from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds, the statement read.Police said investigators are trying to determine whether the homicides are random acts or potentially connected, but no further information, including the identities of the men, is being released at this time.
