RODEO — Investigators looking into the drowning death of a 2-year-old in a bathtub arrested two people on suspicion of murder and torture, authorities said.Crime and Public Safety |Crime and Public Safety |Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Rodeo residents Destiny Deboe, 22, and Tyshawn Haywood, 21, after responding to the 300 block of California Street in this unincorporated city about 8:50 p.m.
Deboe and Haywood were in custody Tuesday night at the Martinez Detention Facility in lieu of $1.07 million bail, according to jail records. Lee said the case remains under investigation. It is the sixth homicide investigated by the sheriff’s office this year.
