But in a recent interview, he said there was push back from some in the neighborhood who wondered what was going on. Edgar writes In the book's introduction that by the end of 2021, more than $100 million worth of affordable housing had been built through those efforts.
"John was the instrumental person to make things happen," Kelley said in a recent interview."I originally met him when I was president of the Columbus Board of Realtors. My wife and I got interested in Community Development for All People because John started it." "There was self interest, absolutely," Edgar said in an interview."But also, folks cared about the community."Kelleher said he met Edgar early on when the hospital and Edgar's group started making plans for housing.
