Jury deliberations for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s impeachment trial have begun Friday afternoon.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who is presiding over the proceedings, said the jury should prepare to go through the weekend.

He added that the jury will deliberate until 8 p.m. Friday and continue Saturday at 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., if needed.misusing the powers of the attorney general’s office to help his friend and donor Nate Paul, an Austin real estate investor who was under federal investigation.
