Harrison, a native of Harrison, Ohio, was 26. USAC said that the remainder of the event has been cancelled.NASCAR’s Chase Briscoe tweeted Saturday that he learned of Owen’s passing shortly after wrapping up a race of his own.
“It’s never easy to be reminded how quickly things happen in this sport that we’re not promised tomorrow,” Tony Stewart Racing posted on Twitter. “Keeping the family, friends and fans of Justin Owen in our prayers. We’re so sorry for your loss.”
