For the second consecutive year, the star center was named a preseason all-Big Ten selection by a group of media members who cover the conference, the league announced on Friday.last week. “I want to win the Big Ten. I want to put a Final Four trophy in here. I want to be part of the team that does that.”Omoruyi averaged 12.3 points on 50% shooting , 9.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks in 31 minutes per game during conference play last season.
Omoruyi was named a second-team All-Big Ten selection by the league’s media, a third-team selection by the league’s coaches and a second-team selection by the Associated Press. Omoruyi tested the NBA Draft waters this offseason, undergoing workouts with several teams, including the Brooklyn Nets, Utah Jazz and Portland Trail Blazers.
