Mr Russell Tham, head of emerging technologies at Temasek Holdings, will join the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) Board as its new chairman from March 15. He has been a board member since Oct 1, 2020, and has chaired IMDA's technology sub-committee since April 1, 2023.

The Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) stated that Mr Tham's experience and expertise have been crucial in advising IMDA on new digital technologies and their potential policy implications.
