One Riverdale star is teasing the timeline of the series finale. The long-running CW series is a dark reimagining of the iconic characters from Archie Comics, including Archie , Betty , Veronica , and Jughead . The current season 7 will be the final season of the series, and so far the entire season's storyline has taken place in the 1950s after the season 6 cliffhanger saw the modern-day characters unwittingly caught in a time warp.

When discussing the impending series finale, Amick teased that "we don’t get out of the 1950s." However, she shared that the finale will give viewers closure on more than just the 1950s storylines, hinting that there will be glimpses of characters in "different… dimensions.
I don’t know if I should answer it. [pause] No, we don’t get out of the 1950s. So I guess maybe that is a big spoiler. I will say you do experience the characters in different… dimensions, that you get to see a lot of closures that are outside of the 1950s. I can tease it that way. I think that’s saying enough.
What Could The Other Dimensions Be in the Riverdale Finale? Given how many plot twists are featured in Riverdale, this tease of other versions of the characters and their storylines could mean anything. However, what Amick is teasing sounds almost like a multiverse, which has become an increasingly popular storytelling device in modern pop culture, especially in superhero movies.
Riverdale's options for comics to adapt are numerous, including 2013's Afterlife with Archie , the prehistoric one-shot Archie 1: The Dawn of Time, and the superhero-inspired Archie's Super Teens. Other onscreen versions of the Archie gang could come into play, including the cartoon The Archie Show and the live-action special Archie: To Riverdale and Back Again.
