Police have arrested the man suspected of killing high-profile tech executive and Cash App founder Bob Lee in San Francisco last week, according to a report from Mission Local.
Law enforcement sources told the outlet that the suspect is Nima Momeni, another tech worker, owner of the software company ExpandIT. Momeni knew Lee and the attack was neither random nor a robbery.The two were reportedly driving together in a car registered to Momeni on April 4 when a confrontation occurred, Mission Local reported. The argument continued when Lee exited the vehicle and Momeni allegedly stabbed Lee multiple times with a knife.
Police previously said Lee was found around 2:30 a.m. April 4 in the 300 block of Main Street, suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The Examiner reached out to the San Francisco Police Department to confirm an arrest was made, but did not receive a reply prior to publication.
