NewJeans Becomes Fastest K-Pop Girl Group To Debut Multiple Songs On UK’s Official Singles Chart With “Super Shy”
On July 14, the United Kingdom’s Official Charts announced that NewJeans’ pre-release single “Notably, NewJeans is the only female K-pop artist to debut more than one song on the Official Singles Chart in 2023—and only the second overall . The group previously entered the chart for the first time with their smash hit “Ditto” back in January.
Not only is NewJeans now the fastest K-pop girl group to score more than one entry on the Official Singles Chart, having achieved the feat less than a year into their career, but “Super Shy” has also become their first song ever to enter the top 60. .
