A New Jersey woman has sued a McDonald’s fast-food restaurant in Hudson County, claiming she was severely burned at the drive-through window when hot coffee spilled into her lap.
The lawsuit, filed Sept. 25 in Superior Court of Hudson County, blames McDonald’s for failing to properly secure the lid to the coffee cup, and negligence in packaging and delivering the item to the customer.
