Former Texas A&M head coach and current co-offensive coordinator at Maryland Kevin Sumlin was arrested and charged with a DUI on Saturday in Florida, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

He compiled a 51-26 record with the Aggies, but he was fired after the 2017 campaign. He was hired by Arizona a year later, but he lasted just three seasons and only won nine games there. Sumlin went 35-17 during his four seasons at Houston before joining Texas A&M, too, including a 12-1 run in 2011.
Sumlin returned to college football this past offseason after a stint working as the head coach and general manager of the USFL’s Houston Gamblers. He was hired as the Terrapins’ associate head coach, co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. Maryland will take on Northwestern next on Saturday. The Terrapins, who have lost two straight, hold a 5-2 record and are vying for their third straight winning season — something the program hasn’t seen since 2003.
