Ryan Day said Marvin Harrison Jr. will be full-go this week after injuring his ankle against Notre Dame.
Asked during his Tuesday press conference if he expects Harrison to be full-go this week as the Buckeyes prepare to play Maryland on Saturday, Ryan Day said that Harrison would.
Harrison was injured on Ohio State’s first offensive play of the second half against Notre Dame when a defender fell into his ankle while Harrison was blocking for TreVeyon Henderson on a 61-yard touchdown run. The injury initially appeared to be significant, as Harrison had to be helped off the field by a pair of athletic trainers.
During an interview session with Ohio State players last week, Harrison was seen on the field at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center catching passes from the Monarc machine and appeared to be moving normally despite having his ankle taped up. An off week cant stop Marvin Harrison Jr. from getting work in on the Monarc despite getting banged up against Notre Dame.Harrison and the rest of his Ohio State teammates had the opportunity to get some extra rest last week since the Buckeyes had a bye week, but Day said the Buckeyes are practicing four times this week – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – heading into their return to action on Saturday at noon against Maryland.
