UPDATE: Man, woman critically injured while trying to break into residence in west Houston, police say
– A man was killed and a woman was left critically injured as they tried to break into a residence on Saturday afternoon in west Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The shooting happened around 4:25 p.m. at an apartment complex, located in the 11300 block of Richmond Avenue, in Westchase area. Police said the man and woman tried to break into an apartment and the two residents inside tried to barricade the door. Once the suspects broke through the barrier, the residents opened fire on them, killing the man and leaving the woman injured.Police said the relationships between the parties are unknown at this time but that there was a familiar issue on the inside and they were trying to get through the door.
