Man dies after falling from border wall in San Diego [Breaking]
A man from Mexico died in January after falling from the border wall after crossing from Tijuana, Customs and Border Protection said in a statement released Thursday.
According to CBP, shortly after midnight on Jan. 27, Sanchez Sanchez and several others were seen on a Border Patrol camera crossing into the United States and climbing the two layers of border wall about 3.5 miles west of the San Ysidro Port of Entry.After the camera operator sent information to agents in the field, one agent went to the north side of the base of the wall that is further into the United States, the agency said. The migrants were climbing down that barrier at the time, it said.
San Diego Fire and Rescue crews arrived around 12:35 a.m., CBP said. Sanchez Sanchez was declared dead at the scene. The consulate said its staff communicated with the man’s family, and they requested for his remains to stay in the United States.dramatic increase
