There are more people at the beach this week in Orange Beach then there’s been in more than a month. The combination of a holiday on Monday, fall breaks beginning and the National Shrimp Festival later in the week have drawn crowds. The Gulf of Mexico was as calm as it will be for several days and folks were taking advantage of the nice conditions.
The Pratt family was visiting from Tulsa, OK for the first time. Caleb Pratt was half covered in sand with a little help from his sister. He said it would give him a good reason to go for a swim.Most were aware that the weather would soon take a turn for the worse. That will force many to change their plans, at least for a day or two. Wethington said he’s curious about what the weather will bring and has backup plans.
