For the second straight season, the LA Kings have punched a ticket to the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Los Angeles improved to 45-22-10, winning for the second straight night after topping Seattle on Saturday.
Arthur Kaliyev and Blake Lizzote — into an empty net — each had a goal and an assist for the Kings. Anze Kopitar added a pair of assists. "We pretty much knew a couple of games ago, it was unrealistic to make it," center Elias Pettersson said. "But we still play with pride and try to build for next season. So these games are important. We have games left to build."
