Mattress Mack bet more than $1 million on Angel of Empire to win the Kentucky Derby.
Mattress Mack threw his hat into the races, and it didn't quite work out the way he might've wanted.
The Kentucky Derby came to an end on Saturday and right before the races, Mack decided to place a last minute bet of $1.2 million on Angel of Empire to win the derby. However, Mack lost that bet after Mage ended up as the winner of the 149th Kentucky Derby. Angel of Empire ended up coming in third.Angel of Empire was bred by Forgotten Land Investment Inc & Black Diamond Equine Corp and the colt's jockey is Flavien Prat.
