Jewish synagogues across Utah were forced to evacuate Sunday morning while pro-Palestinian rallies took place following the Hamas attack in Israel.
In other parts of Utah on Sunday, the Jewish community, which still shaken by the attack on the Gaza Strip, was forced to evacuate their holiday services due to a bomb threat.
Congregation Kol Ami was one of three synagogues in Utah that received an email threatening their community and disrupted their holiday service, just one day after the Hamas militant group attack that killed nearly 700 people and wounded thousands. Salt Lake City police searched three local Jewish institutions within the city and said they did not observe anything suspicious at any of the locations.
Munaomar is Palestinian and a member of the party for socialism and liberation who said they are calling to end the “occupation” Palestinians have been under for 70 years.
