Universal and Dreamworks have delayed the live-action film to June 13, 2025.
How to Train Your Dragon has grown to be one of the most beloved animated franchises of the 21st century, combining a fantasy setting with lovable characters. A live-action remake of the saga has been reported to be in the works for the better part of a year — but now, it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer to see it. According to a new report from Deadline, Universal and Dreamworks have now delayed the live-action How to Train Your Dragon from March 14, 2025 to June 13, 2025.
The live-action How to Train Your Dragon will be written, directed, and produced by Dean DeBlois, who will be making his live-action debut after spearheading much of the animated franchise. Marc Platt, whose work includes Legally Blonde and the studio's upcoming Wicked movie, will be producing.
