Severe weather might occur while most of Houston is asleep early Thursday morning.
While forecasts have said showers were possible the last couple days, there hasn't been much to show for it in Houston.of rain since Sunday, according to National Weather Service observations.
Still, tonight started with warnings that storms could come through Houston while many will be asleep. It will be a few hours before the city knows how severe the storms will get.Some early morning thunderstorms are possible in Houston, especially after 3 a.m., as a cold front reaches the area. Some of the storms could be severe and bring large hail and strong winds. The front will have passed by 7 a.m.
Earlier Wednesday evening, the weather service had issued multiple warnings for the Crockett-Grapevine area.
