John Branch, Roy Morales, Andrew Patterson and Letitia Plummer are running for City Council At Large District 4.Candidates in the race for the At-Large 4 seat on Houston City Council said they are focused on issues that affect all city residents, including public safety, finances and problems like illegal dumping and apartment squalor.
Branch is a teacher development specialist for Houston ISD and a science instructional specialist at Aldine ISD. He previously taught high school science for Houston, Alief and Katy school districts. Branch also said the city needs to do more for its unhoused population, including investing in programs that could help people find jobs and housing.
“My motto then was ‘safer Houston, more jobs and less taxes,’ and it really hasn’t changed,” he said. “Those issues today.”
