More than 150 Lassos made the trip, including Dorothy Hughes, who turned 100 on Saturday in San Antonio.San Antonians who revel in Jefferson Mustang pride and tradition will be interested to know that Dorothy Sultenfuss Hughes, the oldest living former member of the Jefferson High School Lassos, celebrated her 100th birthday Saturday.

She likes to go on short outings to church or lunch. Her two daughters and daughter-in-law are members of the Lasso Alumni.
Hughes, who taught Sunday School for 74 years and was involved in parent-teacher groups and the Girl Scouts while raising three kids, was surrounded by about 100 friends and family members at her birthday party at University United Methodist Church.
