OAKLAND – A 15-month-old child and their nanny were injured in an attempted armed robbery in the Trestle Glen neighborhood on Tuesday morning, authorities said.
The violence happened about 10:52 a.m. in the 800 block of Trestle Glen Road, in an affluent neighborhood above Lakeshore Avenue. Initial reports were that the woman was pushing the child in a stroller on a sidewalk when a vehicle stopped and a male got out and attempted to rob the woman. At least one shot was fired during the attempted robbery.The suspects drove off in a dark-colored vehicle toward Lakeshore Avenue.
