The holdups occurred in Northfield and Absecon in Atlantic County.
Security camera images of the man who robbed the Parke Bank branch in Northfield, N.J. on Sept. 14, 2023. The FBI believes the man robbed a First National Bank in Absecon the next day, on Sept. 15, 2023. Police and the FBI are searching for a man who robbed banks on consecutive days in Atlantic County last week.
Three police agencies assisted Northfield officers in searching the area, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office flew a drone with forward looking infrared, or FLIR capability, which can spot a person’s heat signature at night. The man got away, though, police said. A man with a similar description and clothing robbed the First National Bank on New Jersey Avenue, in Absecon on Sept. 15 at about 1 p.m., and the FBI believes it’s the same person, the FBI said in a statement. The man used a black sedan as a getaway car in that holdup.
