At its heart will be the recreation of an oak tree to memorialize the 19 children and two teachers killed in the May 24 shooting. It will bear a two large branches representing Irma Garcia, 48, and Eva Mireles, 44 — the fourth-grade teachers killed in the massacre — and 19 smaller branches for each of the students.
