And with rain in the forecast for the next two days it’s anybody’s guess when the Mets will receive an opportunity to right their course. Peterson’s night unraveled in the fifth, when he surrendered a three-run homer to Matt Olson that buried the Mets in a 4-0 hole.The homer was the sixth allowed by Peterson in his last three games.The Mets hope to within days return Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander to the rotation and Peterson would appear headed toward a demotion.
