After all, even though it's possible to contact Falco and get David's jacket in Cyberpunk 2077, some fans have been eager for more lore and closure.
Regardless of whether the anime's characters get any extra mentions or attention in-game, it looks like players will actually be able to show their love for their favorite mercs in a more exciting, personal way. Indeed, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty's revamped perks look promising as they are, but with Rebecca and Lucy making appearances in the new skill trees, it only serves to sweeten the deal for Edgerunners fans.
