“The A.G. just caved,” said Thomas Knobloch, 57, a Georgetown University graduate and fraternity member. Knobloch characterized the proposed settlement — which requires Boyle to pay back only $100,000 The judge, too, expressed dissatisfaction with the proposed consent judgment during a hearing last month.
In a memorandum filed Friday in Superior Court, Schwalb’s office described efforts to address concerns raised by the court and fraternity members and said both sides were making “good faith” efforts to renegotiate the settlement.
