A Chicago man was denied bond after he allegedly robbed an Addison Verizon Wireless Store at gunpoint Thursday.
Diamonte Walls, 25, was arrested after the robbery and a brief pursuit.
Prosecutors say Walls, who was wearing a black hoodie and a black mask, entered the store with a gun and ordered all the customers onto the floor. Walls fled the store out the front door, followed by his accomplice, who was pretending to be a customer laying on the floor, prosecutors say. A short time later, officers saw the Infiniti on I-290 near St. Charles Road. Officers set out spike strips flattening the front passenger side tire of the Infiniti.

Apple has a new head for its blood glucose tracking team.Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Tim Millet has taken over Apple’s secretive division exploring noninvasive blood glucose monitoring. Millet is currently Apple’s VP of platform architecture and was an important figure in transitioning from Intel chips to Apple Silicon. That said, I would take any news of progress toward noninvasive blood glucose monitoring on the Apple Watch (or any wearable!) with several grains of salt. I did a deep dive into this topic earlier this year and after speaking with a few experts in the field, this tech is still quite a ways off from ever reaching consumers.
