Proceeds from tonight’s event will go to Nova Ukraine, a Palo Alto-based nonprofit
A group of Bay Area guitarists and vocalists will come together this evening, March 6, to present a fundraising concert in support of the people of war-ravaged Ukraine.All proceeds will go to Nova Ukraine, a nonprofit, Palo Alto-based humanitarian organization, and a representative of the group will speak at the event.
The eight Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian performers who will take the stage are Sergei Chumakov, Vadim Rabinovich, Nati Chitadze, Lenny Agranonik, Victor Volovnikov, Michael Pastushkov, Lev Medvedev and Sasha Alexander. They will play a combination of musician-written bard songs and hits by Okean Elzy, Ukraine’s most famous rock band, according to organizer Vladimir Begun of the Friends in Deeds community organization.
Music will start at 6 p.m. at the Starbright Theater in Campbell.
