The Alamodome.
“To be honest with you, no,” Boerne coach Kimble McHone said when asked if last year’s semifinal felt like a state tournament game. “We weren’t in the Alamodome, and we didn’t get to experience it. We drove to Houston, and we tried to make the best experience we could for them, but this year is definitely different.”
“The state tournament is one-of-a-kind, and it’s really special to be there for the first time this year,” Hendrix said. “Losing four starters for everyone is tough, so we we are going to outwork people and we’re going to be tougher,” Hendrix said. After Boerne lost in straight games to Cornerstone , San Antonio Veterans Memorial and Lanier at the Kerrville Tivy tournament, McHone said his team needed to try something different.
