“I don't read anything into it until I see what their actions are,” Mr. Biden said Tuesday when asked about the latest round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia and the latter saying it would limit its operations near Kyiv and the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv. “We'll see if they follow through on what they're suggesting."Referring to a call he held earlier in the day with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and the U.K., Mr.
“We'll find out what they do. But in the meantime, we're going to continue to keep strong sanctions,” Mr. Biden said. “We're going to continue to provide the Ukrainian military with their capacity to defend themselves.” Mr. Biden spoke alongside Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong following a bilateral meeting in which the two leaders said they discussed issues that included trade, climate change and maintaining security in the Indo-Pacific region.“The sovereignty, political independence and territorial integrity of all countries, big and small, must be respected,” he said. “The unprovoked military invasion of a sovereign country under any pretext is unacceptable.
