A Bay Area woman died in an ATV accident on Saturday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
Maureen Gagne, 54, of Napa was driving a 2013 Polaris Ranger ATV on a small trail near the 4300 block of Young Creek Road in Ukiah. On board were her daughter and a 2-year-old relative."For reasons still under investigation, Gagne ran off the road and the Polaris overturned onto its left side," CHP's Ukiah office said in a statement. Gagne hopped out to try to stop the ATV from rolling over, but the vehicle fell on top of her, trapping her under its weight.
When first responders arrived, they transported Gagne to an ambulance, but she died en route to the hospital, theNeither of the passengers were injured, CHP said.
