Assassin's Creed Mirage may take place in 9th century Baghdad, but there's an Easter egg that will likely remind longtime fans of Ezio Auditore, the famed assassin who lived roughly 800 years later during the Italian Renaissance. During Basim's story in Mirage, the Brotherhood of Assassins has yet to be established, still known as its precursor organization, the Hidden Ones.

At the time, Constantinople would have been an important cultural hub, situated across the Bosporus Strait, which connects the Black Sea to the Sea of Marmara. It was the capital of the Byzantine Empire , so it's unsurprising to hear that innovation in Hidden One technique was coming out of Constantinople.
