The Arizona State House of Representatives has expelled Rep. Liz Harris for her part in allowing an election denier to present misinformation during a televised joint session of the state legislature.
TUCSON, Ariz. — A day after the Arizona House of Representatives Ethics Committee released a report that Representative Liz Harris "committed disorderly behavior," the legislative body has voted to expel her from the chamber.
The joint hearing was conducted at Harris' request to"ensure that the voters of Arizona are confident for all future elections." The Ethics Committee report states Breger's presentation alleged election conspiracies involving bribery and money laundering among specific public officials, government employees and private citizens to influence election results.A complaint against Harris was subsequently filed by Rep.
“This is a sad day for our institution. But it is a necessary day," said House Democratic Leader Andrés Cano, who represents District 20 in and around Tucson's west side.
