And the discomfort was reinforced forthrightly early Thursday. Former House speaker Nancy Pelosi — a fellow octogenarian female lawmaker who remains a House member — was asked about the calls for Feinstein to resign and suggested sexism was afoot.“It’s interesting to me,” Pelosi said. “I don’t know what political agendas are at work that are going after Senator Feinstein in that way.
