9-year-old boy shot, killed in Franklin Park, medical examiner says
Franklin Park Police say around 10:15 Ulysses was playing near the alley with other children when about four to six shots were fired from a moving vehicle. Ulysses was the only person struck. A person of interest is in custody, and Franklin Park Police and the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force located the suspect's vehicle in unincorporated Leyden Township.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the event or who could provide surveillance video of the incident to contact the Franklin Park Police Department at 847-678-2444.
