People were throwing objects, assaulting one another, and blocking the roadway during the Monday fireworks display at Koons Park, Lower Paxton police said.
Three boys and two girls were arrested after violent and “riotous” behavior erupted at Lower Paxton Township’s Monday evening fireworks display.
In addition to the violence, police said some attendees were throwing objects and blocking the street.A 16-year-old Harrisburg boy was charged with two firearms offenses, receiving stolen property, and resisting arrest.A 14-year-old Harrisburg boy was charged with disorderly conduct.A 14-year-old Steelton girl was charged with harassment.
“As with any criminal behavior, especially at our community events, conduct of the above nature WILL NOT be tolerated and those responsible will be arrested and prosecuted,” police said in a Wednesday press release.
