When pollsters asked for one word to describe the current state of politics, the top responses included “corrupt” “dysfunctional” “broken” and “chaos.” "A lot of my fellow Republicans are really angry and upset and frustrated that we’re forcing them to do the work of governorning,"Dissatisfaction with Washington, D.C. fueled the tea party movement in 2009 and 2010 and helped pave Donald Trump’s path to the White House in 2016.
The extent of any such grassroots movement spurring the current unrest among some Republicans is still yet to be seen.
