Police arrested a 16-year-old boy and 18-year-old man in connection to Tuesday's fatal shooting of a beloved Tacoma business owner.

According to the Tacoma Police Department , the arrest was made Wednesday afternoon, a little after 24 hours from the time of the homicide. Charlie Park, 60, the owner of the neighborhood convenience shop The Little Store on South Ainsworth Avenue, was robbed before being shot and killed just after 1 p.m. Tuesday, according to the TPD. Police said they attempted life-saving measures but Park died before Tacoma Fire Department medics arrived.Beloved Tacoma store owner shot and killed during robbery
Two customers at a convenience store followed the 16-year-old and the 18-year-old, identified as Angel Anthony Mendez, out of the store following a Wednesday robbery, according to the TPD, and one of the "community members in their vehicle yelled at the suspects to 'stop.'" One of the suspects then turned around and fired a gun at the vehicle, hitting it, police said.
