1 shot in Bay Terraces area [Breaking]

At least one person was shot in the Bay Terraces area near the Paradise Hills Recreation Center on Sunday afternoon, San Diego police said.

A 911 caller reported hearing gunshots about 3:25 p.m. on Doriana Street near Alta View Drive, police Officer John Buttle said. When officers arrived, they found a victim in his late teens or early 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest, Buttle said. The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.The shooter was described as a Black man in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a medium build and short black hair, who escaped in a black older-model Jeep. He was wearing a white shirt and black pants, police said.
